stress-free van hire

We supply the Tararua District and Central Hawke’s Bay with vans going all over New Zealand for school trips, sporting events, weddings and many other excursions. Our clients include clubs, schools, sports teams, businesses, Council, Shearing contractors and Iwi. Our fleet includes:

  • 5 x 12-seater Mercedes Sprinter vans

  • 1 x 12-seater Toyota

  • 1 x 10-seater Toyota

  • 2 x covered luggage trailers

  • 1 x tandem caged trailer

  • In the future, an empty van will be available to add to the fleet.

Dannevirke Rentals can provide drivers on request (rates apply). Usually, the vans are self-drive.

The charges are kept simple, per km - no hidden costs and include fuel and gst. A fuel card is supplied in the van, to make it easier to manage for clubs if a driver has to refuel.

Our values are reflected in the Dannevirke Rentals logo which brings together elements of a Viking helmet and shield, a Māori koru, and a triple braided cord.

The shape of the Viking helmet represents the town’s founding Scandinavian immigrants, who were brought to Aotearoa by the government in 1872 to fell forests to clear the way for farm land.

In the negative space of the helmet is the shape of a koru which reflects the Māori Tangata whenua of our area.

Together these elements embrace the binding together of all people in the Dannevirke area - showing the strength and community that comes when everyone works together for the good of all.
